Heritage Company NP was officially established in 2025, but its story began in 2024 when five small business owners began meeting around a shared vision for Newark.
Those conversations laid the foundation for Heritage and ultimately led to the opportunity to pursue Kawaida Towers.

OUR STORY
From shared concern to collective action.
Heritage Company NP grew from a vision shared by five small business owners. Inspired by growing concerns that long-time residents and small businesses were being priced out of their community, they chose not to wait for change — they chose to become part of creating it.
The pursuit of Kawaida Towers became the catalyst for formalizing the organization. Kawaida, a Swahili word meaning “tradition,” reflects honoring community history while building opportunities for future generations.
